A soulful rehabilitation: from historic oil mill to social space

L’Almàssera is a full restoration project of an old olive oil mill, carefully and respectfully converted into a contemporary pub. From the outset, the goal was clear: to preserve the soul of the original building, including its stone walls, traditional tools and rustic structure, while adapting it to a new social and functional purpose.

Heritage, character and transformation

The intervention maintained the site's historical identity by restoring original architectural elements and highlighting the building’s agricultural past. At the same time, three distinct indoor areas were designed, along with an outdoor terrace, allowing the space to be enjoyed in different ways throughout the day.

A balance between the old and the living

The new central bar acts as a meeting point between old and new, blending contemporary materials with the original architectural language. The result is a warm, authentic space full of character, where history and daily life coexist without losing their essence.
